My name is Bianca Rael. Having been married for nearly 10 years with 2 kids in tow, I know how hard it is to stay and feel connected in a relationship.(Relationships Are Hard Work) Although I like to think I have a solid marriage and a really wonderful husband, with the pressures and stress of our daily lives as parents, I can see how easy it is to become like ‘ships passing in the night’. If we don’t put in continuous effort to keep that flame burning, it can easily fizzle out. One way of keeping the love alive is by making the time to connect with each other. This realisation, though not a new concept, was one I fully understood at the beginning of this year as I felt rather disconnected from my husband which, among other things, led me to committing more of myself to my relationship. And so my blog began and with it, our commitment to date nights. We began going on more regular date nights which is something we’ve been wanting to do for so long but never did. However, I quickly discovered that going to the same restaurants every time we go out was hardly that exciting or inspiring. And so began my quest to find more exciting and different things to do for our date nights to help bring some fun into our lives. I share these date night ideas with you in the hope that you too will be inspired to get out more, try different things and have fun together.
While my blog started out about remembering and helping you to connect with your loved one, on this journey of mine I have realised that if you don’t put in the effort to nurture the relationship with yourself, it’s going to be pretty hard to sustain a solid relationship with your partner. So my blog is also about my journey with myself and working on that relationship as well.
I aim to inspire and help you with your journey, as I do the same for mine by reflecting and writing about my experiences as a wife, mom, woman.
I hope you enjoy the ride…
Bianca x
PS. My blog is not only for women. Although it is largely written from my perspective, it is for everyone and anyone who seeks to inspire, grow, and strengthen their relationship. So men are very welcome! 🙂
